MDF Connections for your business phones

Business MDF Connections

Old solder-type MDF for an older building

At your place of business there will most likely be an MDF (Main Distribution Frame) which shall have been "tagged" by a Telstra represented technician. This will have the details stating a service ready to be connected to your office/shop's MDF or required phone socket.

The size of your building's MDF may be similar to that in the Telstra exchange or something a bit more modern and compact. A record book should accompany the frame with valid entries for the incoming phone lines and the allocated phone lines throughout the premises or to the next Distribution Frame. These frames may be IDF, Intermediate Distribution Frame, or Floor Distributors depending on how many may exist over how many floors.
